Wellahead Engineering Ltd. have extensive workshop facilities incorporating a range of high quality precision machine tools, designed to produce precision machine parts for a variety of applications. Included amongst the engineering products and services available are the following :
Machining Centres
Machining centres are designed to streamline and maximise precision component fabrication. Incorporating both vertical and horizontal machine tools, often with 5-axis machining configurations, they are multipurpose tooling machines. Wellahead Engineering Ltd use a Maho MH700 C Machining Centre, which represents the very highest quality available.
CNC Turning
Turning is an age old engineering process in which a single point cutting tool contacts against a turning object. Traditionally done by hand, modern methods incorporate Computer Numerical Control, or CNC Turning. Computer controlled automation ensures high precision engineering of machine parts.
Conventional Turning
Conventional turning relies on the skill of the turner and quality of the turning machine. Traditionally carried out with the means of a lathe, considered to be one of the oldest machine tool methods, turning can produce a straight or tapered finish and can be used for profiling and external grooving. Internal turning is also known as boring. At Wellahead Engineering Ltd, we have all the expertise and quality machine equipment to conduct a variety of conventional turning applications.
Conventional Milling
Milling machines are used for shaping metal components. Often the cutting device takes the form of a fixed rotating cutter to which the object for cutting is manoeuvred against to create the desired shape. Conventional milling, like turning, requires the skills, techniques, and milling machines such as those found within Wellahead Engineering Ltd.
Inspection
It is often a statutory requirement for routine inspection of engineered components and equipment. Safety is of course a primary concern but proper inspection and maintenance is also cost effective for the lifetime work required for machines and their component parts. Wellahead Engineering Ltd. have the knowledge and tools to carry out inspection on a range of engineered machines.
